A Piece of Garden Serenity: A Custom Landscape Pendant in Full Green Jadeite

His name is Michael Tang, a Chinese-American client living in San Diego.

When he reached out to us, he shared a dream:

“I’ve always loved the elegance of Suzhou-style gardens—quiet ponds, winding stones, bamboo shadows. One day, I want to build a courtyard like that at my home here in California. But before that, maybe I can carry a piece of that feeling with me.”

Moved by his vision, we selected a piece of full-green ice-jelly jadeite—a rare material with radiant, saturated green throughout. Its texture was clear and moist, like early spring snow just beginning to melt—cool to the touch, yet warm to the soul. The green shimmered like new leaves bursting from summer branches—fresh, alive, full of quiet energy.

Together, we chose a landscape carving to bring this vision to life.

The master carver shaped the jade into a serene mountain scene:

rolling peaks in the distance, their layers clearly defined through the depth of the green, like waves of forested ridges. Delicate mist and drifting clouds weave through the scene—brought to life by the natural translucency of the ice-jelly texture. It feels almost alive, as if the air within the jade is still moving gently.

It’s more than a pendant.

It’s a private world—one of stillness, nature, and timeless Chinese aesthetics, reimagined in stone.
